Rennie 680 mg/80 mg is an antacid that provides relief from heartburn and acid reflux. It is used to treat symptoms caused by the reflux of stomach acid into the mouth, resulting in a burning sensation or pain behind the breastbone. Rennie can also be used for the immediate treatment of symptoms caused by excessive stomach acid, such as heartburn. In addition, it may be used to relieve symptoms associated with ulcers in the upper part of the digestive tract.

Storage Instructions
Keep Rennie 680 mg/80 mg out of the sight and reach of children. Store the chewable tablets below 30°C in the original packaging to protect them from moisture. Do not use Rennie after the expiry date stated on the packaging and blister strip after "EXP".
Directions for Use
Rennie sugar-free chewable tablets can be taken without water. The tablets may be chewed or allowed to dissolve slowly in the mouth.
Recommended dosage for all indications:

• Take 1 to 2 tablets, repeating if necessary.
• Do not exceed 16 chewable tablets within 24 hours.
• For faster relief, chew the first tablet thoroughly.

Do not use Rennie 680 mg/80 mg for more than 14 days without consulting a doctor. If you feel that the medicine is too strong or not effective enough, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Warnings and Precautions
Take extra care when using Rennie if you have impaired kidney function. In such cases, consult your doctor before use, as this medicine may lead to complications caused by elevated magnesium levels in the blood. Symptoms may include low blood pressure, nausea, vomiting, reduced breathing, slowed heart rate, or coma.
This medicine may mask symptoms of underlying stomach disorders and should therefore not be used continuously for more than 14 days without medical advice. Long-term use of high doses may also cause unwanted side effects, such as milk-alkali syndrome. If symptoms persist or only partially improve, further medical investigation is required.
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
May be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding, provided it is used according to the instructions.
Do Not Use If

• You are allergic to calcium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, or any of the other ingredients.
• You have severe kidney impairment and/or kidney stones.

Ingredients
Active ingredients (per tablet):

• 680 mg calcium carbonate
• 80 mg magnesium carbonate

Other ingredients:

• Sorbitol (E420)
• Pregelatinized maize starch
• Potato starch
• Talc
• Magnesium stearate
• Liquid paraffin
• Spearmint flavouring (Mentha spicata L., Mentha piperita L., acacia)
• Sodium saccharin.
